10/6から、アメリカのヨセミテ国立公園に来ています。ヨセミテに来るのは2年ぶり4回目ですが、今回は今までと違う旅になりそうです。

今までの旅は、はっきりと目標課題・ルートを決めて向かった旅でした。最初はミッドナイトライトニング、次はアストロマン、そしてフリーライダー…。本当はフリーライダーへの挑戦の続きをしたかったのですが、今のケガだらけの私には到底無理です。

昨秋にケガした左肩はまだ治りかけ。今年6月には右膝を負傷、9月頭には右肩を負傷、と見事に3連鎖してしまいました。ヨセミテのルートの厳しさは身に染みて分かっているので、5.9〜5.10前半くらいでいっぱいいっぱいだろうなと思ってます（まぁ、ケガしてなくても必死なんですが…笑）。

そんな状態にもかかわらず、安くはないお金と時間をかけてなぜ来たのかと問われれば、そろそろヨセミテに来ないと気がおかしくなりそうだったから、というのが本音です。この土地の持つ魔力に取り憑かれていてそれに抗えなかった、という感じ。

こっちに来て気付いたのは、この2年間で自分が変わったということ。今までと違う視点でヨセミテを見始めているということ。岩だけではなくて、この土地が持っている大きな「系」についてもっと知りたいと思っていること。まだうまく言語化できないんですが…。

とりあえずは、初心者のようなまっさらな気持ちで、流れに身を任せてヨセミテを楽しんできます！

Since October 6th, I've been in Yosemite National Park. This is the fourth time visit there, but this trip seems going to be different from the previous ones.

On my previous journey, I had clear target routes in mind. First Midnight Lightning, then Astroman, then Freerider.... Actually, I really wanted to continue with the Freerider challenge, but with all the injuries I have now, it's just not possible.

I got injured with my left shoulder last fall, then my right knee in this June, and, in the beginning of this September, my right shoulder. I know how tough the routes in Yosemite are, so I think 5.9 to 5.10- routes would be the best I could climb (well, they are really hard even if I'm not injured... lol).

Some would ask me why I spent so much time and money to come to Yosemite in spite of my condition. It's because I would be going to go crazy if I didn't come here this fall. Yosemite has a kind of magical power, and I'm totally obsessed by it. I couldn't resist it.

What I've noticed since coming here is that I've changed in the past two years. I am looking at Yosemite from a different perspective than before. I want to know more about not only its rocks but the big "system" that this land has.

For now, I'm going to enjoy Yosemite with a brand new feeling like a beginner, letting myself go with the flow.
