A lone humpback breaches out of the calm evening waters of Monterey Bay, California. Monterey is known for its Indian Summers, and this year has been no exception. With dry and warm weather dominating the last few weeks, we've barely seen a dark sky until late. Storms have just started to make their way back to the coast and rain is predicted in the forecast, which California desperately needs. Even if it rains, the warmer waters are affecting many marine species negatively, as many cold water fish die off or flee for colder waters. Even still, the anchovies are still blooming in the bay and this is by far the most spectacular time to come witness these whales and dolphins.
