I thought I would take a break from the bear photos and share a recent humpback breaching photo! The activity in Monterey Bay has been nonstop as of late with over 80 whales in the area and thousands of dolphins all taking part in the feeding frenzy that the bay is producing. Just yesterday there was a pod of 5 transient killer whales passing through the action as well! A few of you may have seen a video circulating throughout the web of a humpback breaching onto a kayak, in a scary display of power. That video was actually filmed on the boat I work on @sanctuarycruises and luckily the kayakers escaped without any injuries! #humpbackwhale #humpback #whale #nature #wildlife #monterey #montereybay #whalewatching
