As the clouds split apart from a light shower, they released rays of sunlight down onto the bay below. Everything was a different shade of gold and orange and even the brown bears dark brown coats seemed to illuminate. It was a scene from the Ice Age in the making. A massive glacier looming overhead with the largest brown bears on the planet wandering below. I've found a lot of people do not know the difference between brown bears and grizzly bears. They are in fact the same species, but brown bears are called grizzly bears when they're found inland. So brown bears in Yellowstone, the Rockies, and interior Alaska are all grizzly bears! What I'm more surprised about is how few people see the differences between between black and brown bears. Do you think you know?
