The past month or so has been a blur of bouldering, lake swimming, frying in the sun, social events and work. My Dad’s memorial was in there and Maddy and Ollie’s wedding. All the feels of the past few months have definitely still been hard and grief can still knock the wind out of my sails at times. I think the most unexpected thing for me is how much it’s affected my self-confidence. But things are getting easier and I’ve managed to be pretty productive considering, creating a 40 lesson online course, which I can hardly believe sometimes and have to go back to the computer to check it’s there 😂

Climbing has been fun and healing but without much direction, I’ve been enjoying bouldering outside, often alone with no goals or structured training. It’s felt right to listen to my intuition and give myself the freedom not to climb if I’m not feeling it. But now I feel the pull towards having more direction and challenge. So we’ll see how that goes. We’re approaching the middle of the year and it feels like everything has happened and nothing has happened! Can anyone relate!?
