Watching these humpback whales feed is an astonishing act. The surface of the sea can be as quiet as a pond, and then without warning, thousands of fish will leap and fly out of the water. Usually just two to three seconds behind come the massive and wide-open mouths of the humpback whales, devouring hundreds to thousands of anchovies with just one lunge.
