The weather has been pretty appalling here in Wales after our May/June heat wave. In between rain storms I’ve been training, sneaking out to boulders and also hunting out some new ones.

So often with the people I coach and our course students this feeling of ‘not-enough’ comes up a lot. And although I’ve done a lot of work to decouple my productivity from my self-worth the ‘not-enough’ monster can still rear it’s ugly head. This happens rather predictably for me in the latter half of my cycle and I need to do some work to better prepare for this.

Anyway, it was nice to spend yesterday not working and not climbing, just celebrating Angus’ Birthday and making the most of the bad weather. We went to a beach-side Sauna, swam in the sea and ate scones. Happy birthday to my favourite person @angus.kille 😘
