I first heard about this route in 2011 from Hansjorg Auer who did the first free ascent in amazing style and it’s been on my radar ever since. We checked out the 2 hardest pitches from the top and tried the rest ground up and we were surprised by the difficulty and the quality of the climbing. Having not done much trad or big days recently it was a bit of a shock to the system to do such a sustained climb but I switched into gear fairly quickly and we were able to free the route over 2 days. Ideally we would have done it in a day but the crux pitch is right at the top and comes into the sun really early. With no cloudy days on the forecast and hot temps in the sun we decided to go for the sleepover option to maximise time in the shade. I love sleeping on the wall and it was also a chance for us to refresh our wall skills for Yosemite next month. 😊 Feeling very psyched that we got to enjoy such a classic route in this beautiful place.” 📸: @christian_adam_」10月20日 0時33分
