TOP 3 RECOVERY TIPS✨

Making sure your body is recovering properly is so important! 1. So you can continue to strive and hit your goals in and out the gym and 2. It can prevent injuries.

So my tip 3 tips for getting in good recovery weather you’re and avid gym goer or not 🫶🏼

1- Getting good nights sleep
Lack of sleep impacts you so much more than you think. From productivity in your daily tasks/work to feeling sluggish, low mood and lack of energy. Everybody is different in terms of how much sleep they need but trying to find your sweet spot is key 6-7 hours is perfect for me some people may need more or less to feel on top form.

2- Stretching/Foam rolling
Pre and post training sessions and even on rest days I always try to stretch and foam roll to keep my body moving and feeling ready for what I’m going to take on in the day even if I know it’s going to be a relaxed one.

3- Practise mindfulness
Mindfulness is key for me everyday. To me this looks like taking a long walk or reading a book. To others it can look like meditation, journaling or yoga. You’ve got to find what’s good for you. But finding at least 30 minutes in your day will help with you’re recovery from the day. Finding that small window of time for you is really important and can affect how you feel the next day✨

I try to find what techniques work for my current clients because everyone’s so different just because one things works for you doesn’t mean it will work for somebody else!!
