Last Friday I was flying out of LAX airport to Oregon. I arrived at the airport in plenty of time due to construction they have a shuttle that takes you to your terminal there were 20 passengers waiting for the shuttle to take to the terminal we waited waited and no shuttle we ask everyone to help us. Because we were pressed for time to get to flight once we got there we all missed our flight. When we approach the counter the customer service agent was extremely rude and was speaking in Spanish to her coworker and telling her that we were lying about the shuttles basically calling us liars. When I asked her to help us get on another flight she did not want to assistance us. I question her about the comment that she made earlier to her coworkers in Spanish. She began to get extremely loud and rude I asked to speak to a supervisor. A supervisor that was speaking with another passenger. I believe she was a supervisor a Caucasian woman the agent told me that she was busy. The agent refuse to assist us in then all of a sudden in African-American woman comes to talk to us. Myself and the other passenger is it African-American. ??? Why couldn’ the first supervisor assist this. This supervisor was trying to be helpful but it was too late. I am extremely disappointing in the whole situation I feel very insensitive, discrimination, horrible customer service and no contingency plan. I am very hurt, Because I missed my nephew graduation college and my son was scheduled to come home for the summer. He was on able to come because I missed my flight. The next day and during the week was all booked. I lost my deposit on my hotel, rental and the event. Until this day, I haven’t receive a phone call, email or apologize from American Airlines. I expect this service from other airlines,
but not Americans Airlines.
Are you have to do better work with your employees and other customer service diversity and contingency plans in case situation is how you are going to lose their valuable customer!

In 1st Class this morning, AA just made me check my Rimowa carry-on in PHX. I travel all over the world with it and have never checked it. Rude gate agent that for sure needs a vacation. A reminder of why I intentionally qualified for Platinum Medallion status with DELTA this year and dropped my Executive Platinum to Platinum with AA. Major FF do have a choice when we fly!
