Hello. I originally was supposed to fly from Columbia, Missouri May 20th. I missed that flight. The staff at the American Airlines counter assured me that she could help me keep the returning flight on my itinerary (Kuala Lumpur back to Columbia). She printed an e-ticket for me which shows that I would be leaving from Kuala Lumpur to Narita, and then to a Chicago, and finally Columbia. I asked multiple times for reassurance. She made sure that she left a comment on the flight. However when I got to the airport on the day, the people at the counter told me they did NOT expect me to be there. They told us that their flight was full. If I called AA for validation on our flight they would help us find seats. I was on hold for half an hour before someone assisted me. He told me that there was a “remaining flight” as I expected before putting me on hold again. When he got back on, he told me that it was impossible to use the ticket now because I didn’t fly a domestic flight to begin with. He said the lady at the airport working for AA did not know AA policy. This is causing me a lot of problems and money. If the lady at the counter told me that she could not keep the flight then I could have booked a cheaper return flight instead of a one-way. Why is someone who “doesn’t know AA policy” working there? Why did she give wrong information that is costing me more money? There should be reimbursementscompensarions made for this. Even the person on the phone told me it was I could still get on the flight before leaving on hold for another 20 minutes. I hope you can get back to me on how AA can make up for this.

Your service is horrendous. I am in disbelief. Myself and the dozen others I am traveling with are now stuck in the Miami airport until tomorrow morning when we were supposed to already be nearing our vacation destination. This is after an entire day of delays and gate changes! The day started with gate changes from my LAX to Miami flight, followed by terrible issues with Flight 2217 from Miami to Aruba. My entire group, INCLUDING MULTIPLE YOUNG CHILDREN, were seated on the airplane for awhile until we were told we had to switch aircrafts due to maintenance issues. Then, upon boarding the next plane and sitting for nearly two hours, we were told the flight was CANCELLED until the prior morning. What are we supposed to do? We have children on our trip! We have suitcases for a dozen people! We've spent our hard earned money on hotel and transportation fees already! Please advise as I am incredibly disappointed and worried that our vacation has been ruined. I will be happy to post about my experience on multiple social media platforms and review websites if I do not hear back.

American airline lost my suitcase told me that they will send it to me in about a week because some how it wasn’t in the same plane as me. I got an email two days after saying they have my suitcase and they will send it to me by the mail when it arrive they end up sending me the wrong suitcase and when I called them they took forever to answer and when they did they were like “we will call you back whenever we have information” no one called so I had to call them again and after explaining everything again they told me that they have no idea where is it now and until now I have no idea where is my suitcase and who has it I have a lot of meaningful /expensive stuff in this suitcase from my trip and I’m really about to sue them for losing it.....

Pesimo servicio, tenia el vuelo ayer 19/6/2019 numero AA585, Miami - Quito y lo cancelaron sin motivo, nos dijeron que era por clima, pero el resto de aerolineaa trabajaron con NORMALIDAD, despues nos dijeron que hagamos una fila, en la cual fue de 5 HORAS, finalmente nos cambian de vuelo a otra aerolinea, pero un vuelo SOBREVENDIDO, me parece una burla!!!

Waited over 29 hours at the airport due to cancelled flights going to our first year marriage anniversary trip to the Bahamas. Going and coming back both flights were cancelled and we stayed overnight at the airport both times. No compensation comparable to what we went through was offered. There was smoke in the cockpit going there and coming back there was no pilot. Never fly AA.

Extremely disappointed with the service @americanair. I put in a complaint about a cancellation to a member of staff on May 29th (whilst incurring phone charge), was allocated a flight and hotel away from the original airport (incurring taxi fees) and I am yet to receive a email/call as promised. Please address this issue.
