ALMA is an array of 66 movable radio dishes that can work together as a giant single telescope. On April 10 astronomers revealed the first-ever image of a black hole, a breakthrough in science. They synched ALMA with several other telescopes across the globe to reveal the black hole in the heart of a massive galaxy some 50 million light-years away.
