Photo by Anastasia Taylor-Lind @anastasiatl // Sponsored by @charmin // FSC-certified timberland on the Mud Creek property, in Bowie County, Texas, is managed by Joey Wallace, a sustainability forester for Domtar mill. As a forester, he helps tree farmers maintain the land and meets with them periodically throughout the year to plan harvests, planting, and maintenance. Domtar foresters manage 650,000 acres of FSC-certified timberland that supply the mill in Ashdown—one of the largest paper and fluff pulp producing facilities in the world—with fiber. There are several species along the roadside. Winged elm, red maple, and sweet gum are the most prevalent, but black gum, green ash, and loblolly pine are also present. // Join @Charmin and our partners this Arbor Day to learn how we are working together on our reforestation efforts to ensure trees, our most valuable resource, continue to thrive.
