Photography by @stephenwilkes. On July 1, 2017, I photographed a new "Day to Night”, of the Canada Day 150 celebrations on Parliament Hill. I am proud to be able to say, with the support of @usembassyottawa this photograph was created as a symbol of American-Canadian friendship on the occasion of Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation. The photograph was accepted by the @natgallerycan behalf of the people of Canada. I am thrilled to be speaking with Marc Mayer, Director and CEO of the National Gallery of Canada tonight at Contemporary Conversations. Thank you to Ambassador Kelly Craft who joined us in unveiling the photograph. I also want to thank the Public Affairs team at the US Embassy and Michelle Robitaille, Chief Partnerships and Community Engagement and her team at The National Gallery for all of their efforts in helping to orchestrate all of the many details needed to create this photograph.
