What’s your dog’s fear trigger?

Geordi was always a “bombproof” dog – nothing ever seemed to faze him... Until a couple of years ago. He suddenly started becoming very scared when a nearby dog coughs, reverse sneezes, or vomits.

I don’t know what caused this, and I don’t know how to “fix” it. All I can do is to help him recover from it quicker with various soothing methods. 🥺

Sometimes it’s easy to get frustrated when they exhibit an “irrational” fear like this. Some dogs may react by trembling and running away – and some dogs may react by barking and snapping. But remember – fear is an emotion, and an emotion does not always make sense.

Dogs deserve our empathy and safe spaces. 💛
