It’s been quite a learning experience having an intact male & female together during heat cycles, but what I found the most fascinating was how Scotty’s behavior completely changed through the days of her cycle. He somehow knew exactly when she ovulated (aka entering her most fertile stage of the heat cycle). 

How Scotty’s behavior changed through Aggy’s heat cycle:
Days 1-3: Slight increase in sniffing 
Days 4-12: Significantly more interest in sniffing and licking Aggy’s discharge 🤢, but still rejecting her flirting 
Day 13: Flamenco dancing starts 💃
Day 14 (Ovulation started): Face and ear licking starts 
Days 15-21: HUMP MANIA 😵

Overall, Scotty was quite the gentleboi (until ovulation at least) despite Aggy’s nonstop flagging, and he was very manageable throughout the 3 weeks. Some intact males will totally lose their minds, so I feel pretty lucky in comparison!
