IS THE SCAGGY LITTER HAPPENING??? Keep reading to find out! 😱😱😱

We’ve gotten many questions about why Aggy wasn’t being bred to Scotty. Aggy’s breeder @capricciocorgis had already chosen the stud dog (Flyer) carefully based on health, temperament, and structure. Scotty was also a strong candidate, but since he only recently started getting used as a stud, the puppies he’s produced are still quite young. Flyer, on the other hand, already has adult offspring who are consistently beautiful and healthy, so he seemed to be a great choice for Aggy’s first litter.

Welp, best laid plans often go awry. 🙃

This morning, we took Aggy to the repro vet to breed her via TCI with the chilled semen shipped overnight from Flyer’s owner. And through no fault of anyone, the semen died during transit and was unusable.💀

Luckily, we had a VERY HAPPY & WILLING suitor nearby... a gentle boi with a big ole head, floofy butt skirt and crisis energy.

As usual, Scotty produced about a billion sperm with excellent motility, and the breeding went swimmingly (see what i did there!?). 🍆👻 He was VERY pleased with his own performance and made sure to let everyone know it.

Now we wait – it will be about month until Aggy’s breeder can do an ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy (so pls send Aggy some fertile energy LOL).

Many breeders do not share anything about the breedings until the puppies are actually born. But regardless of the outcome, we wanted to be transparent and share our journey with you all to hopefully provide some insight into what goes into an ethical breeder’s decisions. It’s stressful, expensive, and time consuming, but at least IMO, truly worth it.
