ティム・ケンプルさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ティム・ケンプルInstagram)「Its hard to believe that it was almost a decade ago that @bchendrix and I ventured to the Bugaboos to spend a week documenting @willstanhope and @mattsegal putting in the work to eventually free climb the Tom Eagan Memorial route (5.14b!) on Snowpatch Spire. The route climbed an amazing series of splitter cracks accessed by an unlikely face climb that was incredibly blank… if there was one less hand hold it could not have been climbed. The only thing that made it even more impressive was how far out there you were. A full days hike into basecamp loaded with food, camera gear, and camping essentials. The amount of time and energy these guys put into unlocking this masterpiece was amazing. ⁣ ⁣ And then last week it all disappeared! Nearly the entire face succumbed to a massive rockfall leaving the route completely erased. ⁣ ⁣ What an incredible moment in time to be given the opportunity to join these guys on their journey… and then have the canvas wiped clean with the spoils of fresh stone waiting for the next climbing season.
