詩歩さんのインスタグラム写真 - (詩歩Instagram)「Starry skies at a Jomon site. The #Mawakisite in Noto Peninsula, Ishikawa Prefecture, is the remains of a Jomon period settlement. That's about 6,000 years ago! It's hard to believe that people have been living on the Noto Peninsula for that long... The monument in the photo is a reproduction of a special type of remains called "ring-shaped wooden column", which has been excavated only in Hokuriku. The use of the columns is still a mystery and they have been rebuilt in the same place over and over again. Hmmm, ancient romance. It's a bit like Stonehenge...! The ruins themselves are accessible even at night (is that okay?!). The surrounding area is completely dark, so you can even see the stars at night. On the day I took this photo, the moon conditions were not good, so I couldn't get a good shot... but if it's a new moon day, I'm sure you'll be able to see an amazing starry sky...!
