Yes, that’s a tree full of goats--a common sight in the arid region of southwestern Morocco, where the only available greenery is sometimes way above ground. The local goats learn to clamber up trees as kids, pulling off some Olympics-worthy balancing acts in pursuit of a meal. Grazing can be a team sport, with multiple goats chomping on foliage and argan nuts. The goats, it turns out, also help out their host trees by dispersing the large argan seeds when they spit out their cud--keeping argan trees in business and also benefitting the local economy, since the oil from argan nuts is a hot commodity.
