In spring 2015, the cover of Tate Etc. issue 33 featured the small, little-known gouache and ink work by Leonora Carrington, Chapeau Rouge c.1955. Lancashire-born Carrington, whose extraordinary work and surreal life was being celebrated at an exhibition at Tate Liverpool at the time, was a new discovery for many readers of the magazine.
