To coincide with the blockbuster Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs exhibition at Tate Modern in summer 2014, Tate Etc. issue 31 featured the artist’s giant Acanthus 1953 on the cover. Matisse’s vibrant cut-and-pasted paper design of bright gouache leaves helped to make this one of the magazine’s best-selling issues.
