This was just one of many seabird encounters on the remote island of Wolf in the Galápagos. The courtship process of Nazca boobies is arduous. Males offer pebbles, bits of shells, leaves and twigs as gifts to a love interest. Shot on assignment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック magazine for a forthcoming story on climate change and the Galápagos Islands.
