A kayaker surfs the tidal waves at Skookumchuck Narrows on the coast of #British Columbia. The kayaking was interesting but I was much more curious to see what happens when this nutrient rich water in BC’s emerald seas constantly flows back and and forth through these narrow passages. What we found beneath these waves blew us away. The diving was challenging and at some moments, quite scary but it was worth it. The combination of ocean hydraulics and nutrients allows for an abundance of life on the ocean floor that is not rivaled anywhere else in the world.
