A bundle of sensors on #GE’s 9HA #gasturbine, which was validated at the first-of-its-kind testing facility in #Greenville, SC. Across the 800-ton machine are 6,000 sensors that collect data on everything from temperature to pressure, stress and dynamic response. What does this huge data collection do? It means that one unit running in this test facility for 200 hours can give more actionable insights than 500 units running in the field for a year. Now that’s validating.
