When I started to work on a story for @ナショナルジオグラフィック on the evolution of diet, little did I know my #camera will get fully immersed in the topic, getting a taste of #rice… On assignment in the Bolivian jungle, I fell in a river with my brand new #Canon 5d Mark 3. After swearing in various languages, I scrambled out, stopped the camera, got the battery out and used my mouth as vacuum, sucking out all the water I could. Back at camp, I stuck the camera in a zip lock bag with uncooked rice. Rice sucks out humidity, which can go a long way…. : a week later, miracle, my camera is working again.
