It's giving me positive focus as if I'm honest, away from the work highs my brain is a little fuzzy at the moment. I'm having some low moments (mixed with major high moments) that I'm just trying to embrace and ride through. Ada is teething and has been up hourly for a while - and I think with the lack of sleep, the weather, and the loneliness I've talked about - I'm just trying to be kind to myself as I know these feelings from Alfie and I know it passes. The lack of sleep plays tricks on my mind a lot and I guess I've become a bit insular because I feel like a broken record if I'm honest - like I already used up my maternal mental health card first time around - and I know I have SO much to be grateful for. So I'm reminding myself this is a phase, I'm proud of myself for working and breastfeeding and pumping and I'm riding the waves and being kind to myself and looking for pockets of joy - which are mainly the littles. The perfect source of joy. ❤️🙏🏼 So here's a few things I've been up to away from work that we've been up to: ✨1-4: We went to the @fshampshire for a night and it was heavenly. The kids swim area is the best, the food is exceptional, and they think of every single detail to make it kid friendly. I'll share some stories to show you! AD PR STAY ✨5: Alf's mood pretty much all December ✨6 -7: We went to a special screening of Mog's Christmas which was Alf's (and Ada's) first time at the cinema. It's going to be on Channel 4 at Christmas time and it was so sweet. Naturally Alf loved meeting the character. ✨8: the excitement of seeing snow - even if it isn't real ✨9: matching Christmas outfits ❤️ ✨10: probably the most exciting news: Ada went for an x-ray on her hips after a 7 month wait and thank goodness she's ok. That's been in the back of my mind all this time. Sorry I'm aware my photo album is basically all the kids - I need to get Tommy to take more pics. 😂 I swore I wouldn't be that person but hey - I wonder why we even do that.
