How can AI be used as an equitable creative tool? @NEW INC and @Seen_Journal celebrate the launch of Seen’s 6th issue at the New Museum with a program that goes beyond the noise and doomsday predictions dominating narratives about AI, instead offering a glimpse into the next phase of policy-making, industry standards, and media aesthetics.
On Wednesday, November 1 at 7 p.m., writer and critic Clarkisha Kent (@ClarkishaKent) moderates a conversation on the rapid development of AI in the context of the twin strikes by the Writers’ Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild–American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA). Lightning talks and project demos featuring American Artist (@a_____rtist), Linda Powell (@lindapnyc), Stephanie Dinkins (@stephanie.dinkins), and Suneil Sanzgiri (@Suneil_Sanzgiri) will reflect on the social impact of these emerging technologies.
