But in “Nothing New,” her first solo exhibition in New York, Puppies Puppies invites visitors to experience her life while she inhabits the Lobby Gallery. Using a fogging glass mechanism that reveals or obscures her activities when in the gallery—which includes a replica of her bedroom—Puppies Puppies plays with the trappings of visibility, representation, and cultural consumption. Cameras also film her as she moves between the Museum and her apartment (located a few blocks away) and navigates day-to-day life in the city, bluring the boundaries between the artist's public and private life while also destabilizing the distinctions between URL and IRL existence.
