Ashley Jamesさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Ashley JamesInstagram)「Both Tommy's Paternity Leave and our European road trip is officially over after a mammoth car journey back home from the south of Holland. ✔️🇪🇺 We did it all in one go because we decided rather than heading into France as was our rough pla, we'd go stay near my sister's family as we had such a nice time together we didn't want it to end. It's been so so nice. I could have carried on with our road trip for a few weeks longer. Although we are both very tired, it's been amazing to combine my love of travel and adventure with the littles. 👣🤸‍♀️🌍 We travelled 667 miles in total. We found it much easier staying in each place for at least 3 days so that we didn't have to pack the car up. We found hotels nice but it meant having to stay in the room once Alf would go to bed, so the apartments were better. I travelled about 665 miles in the back squeezed between the car seats. Ada still isn't the best in the car so having me there meant I could comfort her. It was also great bonding time with Alf - we made a playlist on Spotify with all his favourite songs. It rained the whole time we were away so it feels like summer never really came but it was still just the best trip with so many core memories. If anyone wants to know anything then I'm more than happy to share tips, tricks, and lessons. Now it's time for weaning and Ada joining her brother at the childminders part time which I'm absolutely torn and racked with guilt and worry over. I wish I could pause time or split myself in two. Work is so busy and she is so ready for interaction, but I wish I could just pause time a little longer. Or split myself in two. I have such mixed feelings. 💔 But then I keep telling myself that dad's go back to work so quickly and feel no guilt and face no judgement. And I'm so proud of myself for juggling work and full time mumming. So let's see how it goes. It just so happens that the week ahead is sooo busy with shoots, and the NTAs and Steph's Packed Lunch. 🙏 Good luck to anyone having to go back to work - whether it's for ambition, necessity, or whatever the reason. ❤️ Now time for a large glass of wine and Breaking Bad.
