大英博物館さんのインスタグラム写真 - (大英博物館Instagram)「Our new free display showcases nine works on paper by the American artists Leon Golub and Nancy Spero. Having met at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the late 1940s and married in 1951, Golub and Spero worked independently and in collaboration. Both explored themes of war, torture, the corruption of power, violence, racial inequality and oppression although for Spero, women were always at the centre. This work by Nancy Spero addresses the horrors of the Holocaust – the caption on the collaged image translates as ‘The Warsaw Cemetery was outside the ghetto. Special services collected and burned the corpses’.
