さんのインスタグラム写真 - (Instagram)「Happy #WorldEnvironmentDay from Ningaloo reef, one of the last truly wild, pristine places on this earth that needs to be protected 🐋  Ningaloo reef is a World Heritage listed area and it has a synergistic relationship with Exmouth gulf, a place that needs to be included in World Heritage status to prevent industrialization and maintain protection for this entire region 🐋   Exmouth gulf acts as a nursery and foraging grounds for one of the worlds largest populations of migrating humpback whales. It’s also home to a large population of dugongs, a diverse range of fish species (approx 850 compared to 550 in Ningaloo reef) and many threatened and protected species - snubfin, humpback and bottlenose dolphins, hawksbill turtles, baby giant shovel nose rays, leopard whip rays and manta rays. It’s one of few sites in the world where the endangered green sawfish give birth. Exmouth gulf has life creating habitats, mangroves, sea grass and coral that help to sustain Ningaloo reef. The two places are ecologically interdependent and both need continued protection.
