After releasing the first turbocharged, liquid-cooled, and fuel-injected motorcycle in the 1982 CX500, Honda set the standard for supercharged performance and then upped the ante for the ’83 model year with the CX650T. With an increased displacement of 674cc and a bump in compression ratio (up to 7.8:1 from 7.2:1), the ’83 CX650 produced an impressive 97 horsepower. Gearing ratios were also adjusted for a wider gap between fourth and fifth, resulting in a much smoother transition from off-boost to on-boost and eliminating torque lag.
