Had to go for a swim in the glacial lagoon. The second picture is what I was looking at: in the distance you can see the edge of the Vatnajokul, the largest glacier in Europe. Icebergs detach from the glacier and float through the lagoon and out into the ocean, where the waves push them onto the black sands of diamond beach (3rd picture). What a marvel.
