In the whirlwind that has been our lives this past year, I am left in awe of the unwavering support we’ve received from family, friends, acquaintances and complete strangers. Grace’s 2nd birthday was more than we ever could’ve imagined.
Thank you to all of the special people that squeezed the time from your busy schedules, flew in from out of state and made the effort to be here and celebrate Gracie’s second trip around the sun. The well wishes from people who couldn’t be here were so appreciated too and you are never far from our hearts.
Separation is the most fundamental aspect of heartache. The healing that cultivated from seeing familiar faces once again continues to fuel me even now, over a month removed from this special day. Even though this journey could be incredibly isolating and lonely most of the time, I will always recall the people that are in our corner ready to suit up and fight for our little girl when we need it most. And that includes all of you that follow our little corner of Instagram.
May Graces next revolution around the sun be a bit easier, filled with more moments of joy and dimply smiles. We walk with tender feet upon thistles and thorns, but we are fortified daily by everyone who loves Grace. Loved even by strangers who have yet to meet her.
