パンデミック下に幾度も幾つもの場所において本プロジェクトは展開された。2021年2月の緊急事態宣言下、京都 西本願寺は国宝 飛雲閣での物理インスタレーション。展示は撮影され、その映像は「Oni」を祀る儀式として世界各地を行脚する。

2021年3月の緊急事態宣言下、東京は渋谷スクランブル交差点のデジタルビルボードにて、2021年5月のロックダウン下、パリはエドワード7世劇場にて、2021年7月のカリフォルニアは映画『Kill Bill: Vol.1』(2003) の2つのロケ地にてスクリーニングは行われている。

The project unfolds under pandemic conditions across multiple moments and locations. In February 2021, during Japan’s state of emergency, a physical installation in Kyoto’s venerable Hiunkaku, Nishi Hongwanji Temple took place and was filmed. Footage was then screened in locations around the world as a form of ritual procession of Oni.

First on billboards at the famous Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo March 2021, continuing to Paris under lockdown and curfew in May 2021, with a screening at the closed Théâtre Édouard VII, and California July 2021, when the accumulated and reversed footage projects onto the exteriors of two locations connected with the film Kill Bill: Vol 1 (2003) — selected because of the film’s dialogue between Asian and American cultural traditions.
