On the closing day of Yuri Shimojo's exhibition, Unbroken Line, at Boston's @kingstongallery , the artist shared a montage of images and written reflections on this body of work. She takes us on a journey to Japan where she obtained sumi ink stones for her pigment, to her studio in the East Village where the artistic process became her sanctuary during a difficult time as New York entered into Covid-19 lockdown. Throughout it all is a desire to stay present, focus on the joys and pains of the moment in time. Enjoy this meditative experience. The artist recommends Joanna Brouk's 'The Space Between' for some musical accompaniment.

ただの線。でも大切な一本の線。展覧会の終了を記して、激動の時の経過に沿って膨らんでいった5色の想いをモンタージュで綴りました。一本の線からのおくりもの。せめて、なるべく大きな画面で観てほしいからリンクを貼りました ↑。こんなにもつれた世の中で、消え入りそうになっても、繋がっていけるように、届きますように。ありがとうございました。
