I keep returning to document nature’s wonders, and I’ll be heading back as soon as safety allows. In the meantime, here are a few treasures from my archives of species only found in New Guinea: Matschie’s tree kangaroos (first image); a Vogelkop bowerbird at his bower (a hut constructed and decorated for courtship); and a blue bird of paradise walking upside down along a branch to reach fruit.
