The humpback breaching season is getting closer and closer. I love the gray whale migration along the coast, but there’s no denying that they don’t put on a show like the humpbacks. The last few years, March has become a fantastic month for encountering both lunge-feeding and breaching humpbacks as they arrive back in Monterey Bay to replenish their fat reserves. Only a few more weeks!
