On my first evening in Vermont, I made my way to this lesser known pond in the middle of the state to set up for sunset. Alone, the only other sound was the call of a pair of common loons gliding across the far side of pond. The sunset was absolutely brilliant as it ignited the trees in a fiery red glow, but the colors continued to change even after the sun went down and transformed the sky even further. Sometimes after the light dips below the horizon, the cast it can create just comes to life through a camera.
