The railway was initially built to transport coffee and tea from the hill country to Colombo, but with time and population growth, passenger traffic increased to become the main source of revenue. I had the privilege of working in Sri Lanka for @ナショナルジオグラフィック as we looked at the memory of the civil war that ended in 2009.
