Armstrong was a trumpeter, band leader, and singer. He acted in films and played in comedies. He was considered one of the most influential artists in jazz history and is known for songs like “Star Dust”, “La Vie En Rose” and “What a Wonderful World.” Born in 1901 in New Orleans, this all-star virtuoso came to prominence in the 1920s and influenced countless musicians with his daring trumpet style and unique vocals. He died in 1971, leaving a rich legacy for jazz musicians.
