Photo by @Cristina Mittermeier | I visited this village in #Brazil several times over the course of a few years and was fascinated by this young girl, who, on each visit, I would find with a new animal companion. Kayapo communities are matriarchal and girls learn primarily from their mothers and sisters. These girls may have fewer opportunities than girls elsewhere, but that doesn’t stop them from living their lives to the fullest. In my travels, I am constantly amazed by the strength and courage exhibited daily from girls and women I meet from across the world. #Kayapo #enoughness #nature #photography
