At the center of the Mt. Iwate area of Towada-Hachimantai National Park is Mt. Iwate, which has an altitude of 2,038 m (6,686 ft). Once shining silver with the cover of winter's snow, the mountain displays a contrast of white and black colors that can be enjoyed as the snow melts in spring. When the pink color of cherry blossoms is added, the mountain instantly looks elegant. In recent years, many quick-eared visitors from other countries seem to be looking forward to this scenery.
