We could REALLY feel it❤️ My labor was a Beautiful and Exhilarating home birth experience—  I spent all 9 hours of labor very focused, and very much in tune with myself. I would even say all but the final hour were even pretty comfortable. Every time a strong wave of contraction would come, I would “ride it” and not resist it, mentally nor physically, by breathing deeply with it and “letting go.” I used guided meditations to practice and prepare myself for this for weeks and months. I thought, I do this in yoga (savasana) all the time, why didn’t I think of using this in labor before?! I spent the final hour in the bathtub 🛀  Half an hour in, and as the day was breaking, my elder son Issa (now 8yrs), woke up... thinking it was very strange his mama or papa didn’t come wake him up for school on this particular morning. As the living&dining room were silent and empty, eventually he found his own way to the bathroom to discover there was a major birthday party going on there 🎉  Ayden was born at 40wks and 4days, a plump 3330g boy with beautiful fluffy hair 👶 This little bundle of perfection has left our entire house smelling like LOVE for daaaaaays ❤️❤️❤️ #homebirth #thankyou #grateful #gratitude #waterbirth #activebirth  Special Thanks to @thebirthhour #thebirthhour from which I got a lot of inspiration and encouragement late in pregnancy.
