Mark Twain really loved cats. So much that the writer and humorist was reported to have between 11 and 32, and even rented kittens when he was on vacation so he wouldn’t go without feline companionship. #lifegoals

Twain—born Samuel Langhorne Clemens—had one (unrented) kitten who shared his love for billiards. In a 1908 letter, he described how the kitten liked to sit snugly in a corner pocket, watching the game and ruining shots by swatting at balls with his paw.
