Photo by @enricsala . A South American fur seal dives in a giant kelp forest at Diego Ramírez Islands, Chile. This is the last outpost between Cape Horn and Antarctica, and one of the most pristine places left in South America. Our @natgeopristineseas @waittfoundation expedition found a rare window of two calm days, and we were able to dive in these southernmost kelp forests on the planet. Pristine Seas divers have now dived here and in the northernmost kelp forests in the world, in the Franz Josef Land archipelago in the Russian Arctic. Both are wild places; Russia protected Frank Josef Land; now Chile needs to protect this jewel
