Caribbean reef sharks passing inches away from my camera in the Bahamas. Go to @mattiasklumofficial to see a Carribean reef shark cruising over wreck in the Bahamas. Aggregations of Caribbean reef sharks are highly vulnerable to being fished out; a single longline could decimate an entire population. There are still about 300 species of shark in the world's oceans but at least 250 000 sharks are killed every day(!) for the finning- and shark liver oil industry etc. Many species are now on the brink! By ridding the oceans of the sharks we destabilize resilient and strong ecosystems that truly support life as we know it! We depend on nature to function!
