Mountains mirroring in a small pool by the Flatisvatnet lake in Norway. Only 100 years ago, this place had been covered by the contiguous Svartisen ice cap, but glaciers drew back so fast in the last decades that the ice cap was divided in two along the Glomdalen valley, and today, no ice streams reach the valley bottom. We stayed overnight in tent during our 5-days hike in the national park last week, and woke up to sceneries like this every single day.
The Bjørnefossen waterfall can be seen in the top right corner of the image. Tomorrow we will show you a closer image of the waterfall and promise it will look pretty different...
