#MyLensStory, opening tomorrow at the @NMAAHC in this museum, tells the stories of trailblazers, innovators, visionaries, and history makers who helped to shape this nation. There are approx 140 items from freedom fighters, activists, servicemen, sports and entertainment legends, artists and designers. These dresses were designed by Ann Cole Lowe. She was the first African American woman to operate a #couture dress salon on NYC's Madison Avenue. She designed Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy's wedding dress. #fashion #heritage #WomensHistory
